OPPORTUNITY As Product Manager you will be responsible for the entire life cycle of Ceryx products from conception and the initial business case, through to development via functional specifications, to market launch, operation and end of product decisions. You will also build products from existing ideas, and help to develop new ideas based on your industry experience and your contact with customers and prospects. You must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. You must enjoy spending time in the market to understand their problems, and find innovative solutions for the broader market.
You must be able to communicate with all areas of the company. You will work with an engineering counterpart to define product release requirements. You will work with marketing communications to define the go-to-market strategy, helping them understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customer. You will also serve as the internal and external evangelist for your product offering, working with the sales channel and key customers.
Responsibilities:
- Develop product roadmap and communicate same across the organization. Participate in various cross-functional teams to help design, develop, price and launch successful products.
- Act as the internal and external champion of the product portfolio. This includes being the 'one- stop-shop' for information on the product, target market and product competitors.
- Proactively communicate with stakeholders on the product, its performance and any major issues or changes in the market or competition.
- Work with Marketing and Sales Teams to define the go-to-market strategy, helping them understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customers. Work with Technical Support Groups to ensure that team is knowledgeable on all product-related issues.
- Work with Operations Teams to ensure that products and information are flowing through in an efficient manner.
- Act as the point of contact for the resolution of any technical product-related issues
- Analyzing potential partner relationships for the product. - Managing the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities.
- Specifying market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to customers, prospects and business partners.
